  • The opening concert of the Romero Institute and Leyenda Convention features the world premiere of Shadows of the Pomegranate Tree, a major new work by acclaimed composer Stephen Goss.

  • Written for solo guitar, flute, clarinet, cello, bass, and guitar quartet, Shadows of the Pomegranate Tree explores the rich colors and expressive possibilities of the guitar alongside a unique chamber ensemble.

  • This world premiere continues the Leyenda Convention’s commitment to expanding the guitar repertoire through the creation and performance of new works by leading composers.

  • Bringing together internationally recognized artists and Oklahoma musicians, this special event offers audiences the rare opportunity to experience a major new composition at its first-ever performance.
