Gerald Warlick, Co-Principal Oboe
Gerald Warlick is an accomplished oboist and educator with a lifelong commitment to shaping musicians and enriching the communities he serves. He earned his Bachelor of Music Education from the University of Central Oklahoma, where he studied oboe under Richard Killmer, a distinguished professor who presently teaches at the Eastman School of Music. Gerald has taught instrumental music in Crescent and Oklahoma City Public Schools and served as an adjunct instructor of oboe and bassoon at the University of Central Oklahoma. He also performed as a member of the Oklahoma Symphony Orchestra, as well as symphony orchestras in Enid, Fort Smith, and Lawton. After dedicating fifteen years to music education in the Midwest City-Del City Schools, Gerald transitioned to a continued role in higher education as an adjunct oboe instructor at Oklahoma Christian University and Southern Nazarene University. As a performer, he is an active oboist with the Oklahoma Chamber Symphony and serves as principal oboist with both the Enid Symphony Orchestra and the Oklahoma Community Orchestra. In addition to his orchestral work, Gerald collaborates with chamber groups Eclipse and Cimarron Wind Quintet and works as a freelance musician.
